Our aim is to facilitate a timely assessment, reasonable foresight and a comprehensive guide to intermediary and institutional investors and international energy entities on the opportunities, risks and challenges resulting from this changing energy landscape and growth in Iran’s renewable energy sector. This report presents the results of more than six months on-the-ground research, assessments and interviews carried out by our team of specialist experts, coupled together with surveys as well as the latest data and statistics collected from Iran’s main stakeholders and relevant energy organisations.

In the first half of this report, by taking into consideration the economics and potential of the market, followed by the analysis of the multiple factors affecting the progress of renewables in the country, we will provide a comprehensive assessment of Iran’s renewable sector, and the direction in which it is heading.

In the second half of this report, by incorporating a deep analysis of the developments in legal, fiscal and political reforms, together with assessments of our on-the-ground research experts and the perspectives of policy-makers and executives, this report provides a useful context in which to view investment opportunities in Iran’s renewable sector. It does so by providing a unique commentary and guide on how investors can best leverage current investment policies and incentives offered by the Iranian government while managing and mitigating the risks of their investments.
